Call for Pitches — Issue 2: Giveaways

Public Bonds Magazine is taking pitches for Issue 02: Giveaways. Think: bad deals, bestowals, ill-fated windfalls, pried-open hands, selling out, selling off, no strings attached, public assets, private actors, you can have it all if they can have it all.

Too often we write about what has disappeared from the city or been taken against our will - affordable rent, a much beloved small business, a sense of place that doesn’t feel algorithmically generated or user tested.

In this issue, we ask: what have we willingly given away?

Pitch us at admin@publicbonds.city by July 1st, 2025. We want to hear your ideas for essays, visual art, fiction, poetry, hybrid works, etc. Send us a quick description of what you’d like to create (150 words-ish). If accepted, submissions will then be due Mid-October.
